Located in the heart of Chelsea, just steps from Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, and Hudson Yards, Markette Restaurant is an intimate dinner destination from Chef India Doris and hospitality veteran Alex Pfaffenbach.
At Markette, European refinement meets Caribbean soul. The menu celebrates the season and reflects Chef India’s experiences cooking throughout Europe and her Caribbean heritage. Each dish is thoughtfully composed to balance comfort and creativity, highlighting the warmth and vibrancy that define her approach to modern dining.
Dinner at Markette is designed for sharing, conversation, and connection. Guests can expect an ever-evolving menu of inventive plates and inspired flavor pairings, each crafted with precision and purpose.
Downstairs, The Argyle offers a relaxed extension of the Markette experience. The cocktail program spotlights imaginative drinks layered with seasonal ingredients, perfectly complementing the restaurant’s European Caribbean perspective.
The restaurant features 50 seats in the dining room and 15 at the bar, blending elegance with ease. Burnt orange banquettes, Murano glass chandeliers, and hand-painted murals evoke the English countryside, while candlelight and mirrored gold accents create an atmosphere that feels both elevated and welcoming.
